This certainly turned out to be a challenge for all involved! Big thanks to Pure Town Planning for running the application for us, without them we wouldn’t be where we are today.. APPROVED!
It all started in November 2017 when we were handed some very basic and poorly designed plans… The site comprises a 1970s two storey dwelling house with attached single storey garage on a large open plot in need of some serious design help!
We set to work with extending the first floor over the existing garaging, which seemed a natural progression along with considerable external and internal alterations, sadly our first attempt was refused due to policy restrictions, however we progressed with further designs and submitted a pre-application for some informal advice to fully understand the LPA’s main concerns. Working as a team, nearly 10 months later we’ve managed to overcome their concerns, comply with local policy and have the permission to start planning for the next stages.
